Computer Brains Score in International Computing Challenge

Over 30 Woking College Computer Science students took part in an international computing competition which attracts entrants from 30 countries.

This year a record 86,000 U.K. students took part with over 3 million students participating worldwide.

Sponsored by Oxford University the competition, known as the “Elite Bebras” aims to develop skills in problem solving and computational thinking skills.

All Woking College students achieved Certificates in the Elite Category of the competition with eight students receiving a Distinction. Dylan Webb was also awarded “Best in College” for his high marks.

The Challenge is highly regarded by universities and employers. Student   Dylan Webb commented “I was interested in completing the challenge because it looked fun and I gained a recognised qualification which will be useful in my future career. I am really surprised but really pleased that I achieved top marks in the Elite category.
