Media (L2)

(Equivalent to 1 GCSE)

This qualification offers understanding by empowering students to work with media products, production processes and technologies. This leads to practical and creative skills that transfer into the workplace.

What skills will I develop?

You will develop your communication skills, both oral and written.

You will gain the ability to analyse media products and how meaning is created within them.

You will gain technical skills using a range of print and/or moving image media hardware and software.

Cambridge Technical Certificate

  • Unit 1: Introducing Media Products and Audiences
  • Unit 10: Audio-Visual Media Skills

Where does the course lead?

Completing this qualification with a Merit or higher will fully prepare students for study at either A Level or an Advanced Vocational course.
