Physics
Physics aims to describe and explain the universe. Topics covered draw on everything from the ideas of Newton and Einstein to the contemporary theories of particles and astrophysics. The content of the course is studied using a variety of methods including experimental work, problem solving and use of computers. Most of all, the aim is to make Physics fun. Anyone with strong maths skills and an interest in how and why things work will enjoy this subject.
And afterwards... Students will have been trained in an analytical way of thinking that is valued by employers and transferable to many other areas, including financial and management training. Physics is necessary for many university courses such as Engineering, Geophysics, Electronics, Biophysics, Astrophysics, Astronomy and Particle Physics.
