Textile Design

This course is for all creative minds who enjoy Fine Art or Textiles. This diverse and active course offers opportunities to learn a variety of techniques such as screen and block printing, dyeing, felt making (2D and 3D), knitting, weaving, fabric painting, batik and free machine embroidery. You are encouraged to explore personal interests and ideas whilst being inspired by different types of artists to enable you to broaden your knowledge and help you experiment and discover new ways of working. Although this is not a fashion course, students produce wonderful pieces of art work, including garments, sculpture and 2D pieces. At the end of the year students exhibit their work in our Art & Design show at the Lightbox Gallery in Woking town centre.

And afterwards... The majority of students go on to further their creative studies on a Foundation course at art college or progress onto various Textile or Art degree courses at university.
