I am very pleased that you have decided to find out more about our College.

At Woking College we provide quality advice and guidance to ensure that the programme you select enables you to progress to the next stage of your career, whether to Higher Education or to Employment.  This will help you achieve the best possible results in your chosen subjects.

Our tutorial system is outstanding.  Students receive excellent individual support and are set challenging targets to ensure the successful completion of their courses. There is a strong sense of community here in which all members are valued and we are especially proud of our achievements in supporting those students who have particular learning needs.  We have high expectations of you and your progress will be closely monitored through regular reports, target setting and consultation evenings.

Our success is based on a team of expert staff who are experienced in helping young people become confident, independent learners.  As part of our commitment to this aim, we have excellent facilities, such as a professional dance studio and theatre and a state-of-the-art IT network.

In addition to the wide range of academic and vocational courses that are described in this prospectus, we have a full stimulating programme of extra curricular activities.  These include the Duke of Edinburgh Award, team sports, music, drama, dance, IT and photography.

The College is listening to its students more than ever before.  Students are involved in the selection of new staff and we have two members of the Student Council on our Board of Governors.  This has had a direct impact in the design of our curriculum and the continued improvements in the quality of our teaching and learning.  We make sure that students are at the centre of everything we do.
