The Extended Project is a level three qualification which is equivalent to an AS graded from A* to E.  You choose the title and content.  You will be taught the skills and then have your own individual supervisor to help guide you to a successful outcome.  This is a free standing qualification which is liked by many universities for the research skills it develops and what it says about a candidate who can successfully see it through to completion.  The extended project is a single piece of work of your own choosing that requires evidence of planning, preparation, research and individual working.  An extended project could be for example, a design, a report from an investigation or study, a dissertation presenting an argument, an artistic or DT creation or a performance.
